The run/walk will be held in the heart of Pewee Valley, winding through the beautiful historic scenery of Houston Lane, Mount Mercy Drive, Muirs Lane, and Rollington Road. Participants and their families will get the chance to view historic fire trucks on display and participate in free health screenings and door prizes.

Great Opportunity to Walk the New Wendell Moore Park Trails
and Benefit the Teddy Bear Tree Program

The Parks and Recreation Department in partnership with Tri-County Community Action Agency is sponsoring a 2-mile charity walk on the new Wendell Moore Park trails.  The event begins at 9:00 am.  Proceeds will go to help needy children this holiday season.

The cost is $10.00 pus a new, unwrapped toy.  Participants will receive a T-shirt.

Mini-Triathlon: Saturday, September 6th: Our USAT sanctioned Mini-Triathlon is held at Wendell Moore Park on the first Saturday after Labor Day The event includes a 400-meter pool swim, an 8-mile bike ride on a non-closed road course and a 3K run that includes firm surfaces and cross-country segments. The race costs $25.00 per individual and $55.00 for three-person teams. Non-USAT members must add $10.00 per participant to cover one-day insurance. The top three finishers in a variety of age groups as well as the men & women’s overall winner receive awards. Registration begins July 1st. Please call 225-0655 for more info and registration.

The Dog Party: Sunday, September 7th, 1:00-3:00 pm: Bring your dog to the Oldham County Aquatic Center for a dip at this fun & unique event held on the last day of pool season. EVERY DOG MUST HAVE Current Immunization Record, be on a leash and have a pooper-scooper with them.

Race Route : Runners will start next to the Eatery heading east on Old Zaring Road, north on Glenarm to Hwy. 1817, ½ mile east on 1817 then turn around and retrace route to finish at the Eatery. Walkers will proceed east on Old Zaring for ½ mile then turn around and finish at the Eatery.

This year’s Fastline Fun-Raising 5K Run/1 Mile Walk will benefit the following charitable organizations:  Metro United Way, American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, and Habitat for Humanity.

The run and walk will start and finish at Fastline Publications, LLC, in Buckner, KY.  The course is flat to slightly hilly through a rolling neighborhood.  There will be a water stop at the halfway point and splits will be called each mile.  The course will close at 9:45 a.m.
